There's something magical about the aroma of these golden-brown treats wafting through the kitchen, instantly transporting you to a place of warmth and comfort. In this blog post, we'll embark on a journey, exploring the art of crafting the perfect chocolate chip cookie—crisp on the edges, chewy in the center, and oozing with gooey chocolate goodness.
Anytime I bring these cookies to an event, we are lucky if there are any leftovers. They have the perfect outer crisp with a chewy soft inside. You will be amazed at how easy they are to make. We have made these enough that the kids know what ingredients we need and they love when they get to take the lead!
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt (I do not measure this, measure with your heart)
1 stick butter, softened
2 cups brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (I do not measure this, measure with your heart)
2 eggs
Chocolate chips (I do not measure this, measure with your heart)
Instructions:
Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a stand mixer, cream together the brown sugar and butter.
Add in the eggs and vanilla.
Slowly add in the flour, baking soda, and salt, and then mix to combine.
Add in the desired amount of chocolate chips.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray with cooking spray.
Scoop the dough with a spoon and roll it into a ball with your hands. Place the cookie dough on the baking sheet.
Bake the cookies for 10 minutes. Everyone's oven works differently, so your timing might need to be adjusted, however, we have found that 10 minutes is our sweet spot.
Allow the cookies to cool and enjoy the mouth-watering experience of the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe!
