Easy homemade coffee creamer

Coffee creamer was not something that I thought to check when it comes to ingredients. It seemed simple enough... cream and maybe some sugar right? WRONG! Store-bought coffee creamer, or at least the creamer I used to use states very clearly, "INGREDIENTS DERIVED FROM A BIOENGINEERED SOURCE." This is not anything I want to put into my body and when I can create creamer that is so much better AND it even tastes better, why would I not??

Not all coffee creamers are created equally. You will need to do the research on the creamer you consume. This is specifically the creamer I used in the past.

The creamer recipe I have been using is simple, easy, and it tastes DELICIOUS! You are more than welcome to tweak it as your like. This is your preference. I am just sharing mine.


Easy Homemade Coffee Creamer


Ingredients

  • 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk

  • Half and Half OR Heavy Cream and Milk

  • Honey

  • Jar or container for your creamer - we use mason jars

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients and your jar. I use a 24oz jar and it works perfectly and the creamer lasts me about 2 weeks.

2. Pour in the sweetened condensed milk and be sure to scrape the sides to ensure you are getting the most out of it.

3. If using half and half, fill what is left of the jar with half and half.

4. If using heavy cream and milk, you should have half of the jar left that is empty. You will split that between the heavy cream and milk. It will work out to be about 4-5 ounces of each.


Using local honey to sweeten creamer

5. I like to add local honey to my creamer for an added flavor. You can add any flavor you like though.

6. I take my immersion blender and blend it until it is all well incorporated. You could put all of these ingredients in a regular blender and then transfer the creamer to your jar.


Freedom in Ingredients

You are free to choose whatever ingredients speak to you. The sweetened condensed milk can be made by cooking milk and sugar down. I have seen people who like to put brown sugar in their creamer, cinnamon, vanilla, etc. The choice is completely yours! I hope this gives you the hope and excitement to make your own coffee creamer. You will NOT regret it. The ingredients are simple and delicious, and none of them have been bioengineered!
